Dr. Minjie Gu, President and Chief Scientist

Dr.Gu is the President and Chief Scientist of the American Regenerative Medicine Corporation, Adviser of Maternal and Child Health Care of China Association and Chief Scientist of the Regenerative Medical Center, 981 Health Science & Technology Group Co., Ltd. While working in the faculty of Columbia University, Dr. Gu applied to the CUMC Office of Innovations for three patents:

1. Structural transformations in biarsenical tetracysteine proteins to enhance the fluorescence of proteins in live cells.
2. Discovery of key genes of genetic bone diseases.
3. Reprogramming of adult bone marrow stem cells into tissue-like neural, bone, and cardiac cells, etc.

Dr.Gu is also a Traditional Chinese Medicine (TCM) physician. She uses insights from TCM theory in her regenerative medicine research and clinical applications of stem cell therapy. Thus, she applied for patents in Columbia University based on the basic traditional Chinese medicine theory of Ye Tianshi, eminent doctor of hematology in Qing Dynasty. In China, Dr.Gu helped to build two laboratories for stem cell clinical therapy and has successfully used stem cell therapy in cases of neurodegenerative disease and acute multiple bone fracture with complications of damage to neural, vascular and muscle tissues
